I LOVE IT. dad made chunky tables, foldable tables, bed tables -- all kinds of stuff for us. I am still looking for the right table. And so is Udit. I think we dream of good tables!!! Let's go table hunting, moley. :-)

big boobs lovingly held by a table just the right height- that's a match made in heaven. The tables you've reminded me of Roshni! There was one particular table in the reading room of my college library. It was in the hottest corner, the sun spilled onto it half the day but man could it hold my boobs! I loved that table. Thank you for writing this. You bring objects to life.

I did not know I had a thing for tables till I read your essay. With every line, I realised how important my work space has been for me - the table and chair are sacrosanct. I do not allow anyone in my space. I love and nurture it daily. And I most certainly don't understand how people can fit anywhere. I envy them, like you Roshni :)

Hahahaha! That kind of envy is SavVy's signature style! You know my space is anything but sacrosanct -- it is cluttered and messy and never organised -- and what keeps things more interesting is I have to switch positions of the tables at least once a week - Never consistent in one spot! So these tables had to be easy to move and non fussy too! My fam almost gave up on me and tables !

Nothing wrong with cluttered and messy of it's yours! I might have given the impression that my table is clean. Sorry about that! I'm messy too but I thrive is spaces that are full of my things 😀

I too love tables both at the office and at home. I had mahogany teakwood tables at office while in government. Some of them from British period. At home I used my Grand Fathers table with drawers and space for table lamps. Now I am using a table purchased in 1986. I love to write and read at this table and spend hours on .

What joy!

the older the table the more charmed I am -- The angrezon ke zamaane ke tables seem like something! Our dining table also is pre 80s and when it was time for a new one we did not have the heart to give it away-- so it lies in office now as the lunch table.
